A Breakdown of the US Regions

Western US: Contains both desert and mountain terrain. Typically warmer weather with little to no humidity but certain parts can get very cold. 

Southwestern US: Contains both desert and mountain terrain. Typically very warm weather with a little more humidity the further east you go. 

Midwestern US: Humid Summers with cold winters. Known for large open land, plains, and rolling hills

Southeastern US: Very humid summers with milder winters. Known for beaches as well as open lands depending on which part. 

Northeastern US: Humid climate with cooler summers (sometimes) and harsh winters. Contains both beach, and mountain terrain.
